Last week we traveled to Amsterdam to take part in the annual celebration of all things indigo. The Amsterdam Denim Days bring together denim fanatics, brands and buyers for a unique event throughout the city. We loved the atmosphere at the Blueprint festival and wanted to share our discoveries and impressions with you.
Denim store and brand Tenue de Nîmes installed an indigo green house and hand-dyed Converse All Stars.
At the Future of Denim pavillion, we spotted some great initiatives and projects.
We got to see the G-Star RAW Research II by Aitor Throup in real life, met Karlijne Opmeer (who uses bacteria to dye fabric!) and had a detailed look at the amazing Global Denim Awards silhouettes.
To get your denim customized or to discover the latest innovations from big brands, the Denim Venue was the place to be. We especially loved the Wrangler by Peter Max project.
Next to the brand’s installations, you could take in some denim culture and enjoy exhibitions by CODE, Tonello, Valentin Bakardjiev and WSGN x AMFI, the Amsterdam Fashion Institute.
With so many indigo lovers gathered in one place, a little streetstyle is always a good idea.
