Some might say Cactusfestival is by far the most family-friendly festival in Belgium. It is true that each year, the organisation makes a lot of effort to make everybody feel at home in Bruges. Apart from the great line-up, the festival offers tasty dishes from all over the world and the little ones can enjoy the beautiful decoration or play games.
The festival received the honorable title of ‘Best small European festival’ by Yourope and can serve as a model on green management. Their motto still is ‘small is beautiful’, they stick to one stage and focus on quality instead of quantity.
We visited the festival on Saturday and spotted Rhye, Millionaire and Coely in concert. The festival welcomed big names like Róisín Murphy, Kaiser Chiefs and Richard Ashcroft. Belgian artists were well represented, with the likes of Goose, Warhaus and TaxiWars.
Being at a family-friendly festival means that you can spot a whole lot of different (denim) styles, which made it really interesting for us. From girly shorts to mom jeans, embroidered denim skirts to oversized denim jackets, here is our selection from the 36th edition of Cactusfestival.
